Wearing God with Dr. Lauren Winner

Join us Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m. as we welcome Dr. Lauren Winner for a lecture and dessert reception. Winner is an Episcopal priest and Assistant Professor of Christian Spirituality at Duke Divinity School who writes and lectures on Christian practice, the history of Christianity in America, and Jewish-Christian relations. She is the author of numerous widely known books, such as Girl Meets God and Mudhouse Sabbath. Her new book, Wearing God: Clothing, Laughter, Fire, and Other Overlooked Ways of Meeting God, explores overlooked biblical images of God, which is the topic she will explore with us. You will have the opportunity to hear her speak, and her books will be available for purchase. The cost of this event is $12/person, but please know that we want everyone to be able to attend.
